Husband and wife team behind SushiSTØRE

STØRE for BIG things to come

Støre may not be grammatically correct albeit perfect for our new sushi store, a virtual shop with real food, real people and real big ambitions. We settled on this new spelling derived from the Danish verb stor meaning big, større bigger and størst meaning biggest.

SushiSTØRE is a collaboration of husband and wife team who shares a passion for Japanese cuisine, a field in which we have over 25 years experience each. With big events and festival on hold during the Covid19 crisis our previous summer’s events cancelled we longed for cooking again and have launched a Saturday Night Sushi Dinner service for West London. We loved it so much that we have carried on.

We aim to serve the freshest sushi using only responsible farmed salmon and sustainable caught fish drawing on many decades work with various NGOs to support the health of our seas for future generation. For past achievements and how we navigate the field of fish provenance check the sustainability section on this website. We also like our food green and believe that a more plant based diet is good for our personal health and the health of the planet, therefore our approach has always been to incoporate a helathy ratio of traditional Japanese vegetable based dishes. We like to use seasonal vegetables and endeavour to support local farmers for crops when they are in season and then most beneficial to us, people as well as planet.

How does it work: we run our service every second Saturday and take orders online until 23.00 on the Friday night beforhand, we then place orders with London’s finest suppliers and get ready for Saturday’s sushi magic. Each West London area has am allocated delivery time slot from 17.00-20.00 on Saturday evening, please see website for details. For menu and next available dates go to mysushistore.co.uk.
